SRA Board welcomes new members
09 January 2025
Our Board has welcomed two new lay members, Simon Millhouse and Claudio Pollack.
Simon and Claudio joined the Board this January following the departure of Selina Ullah and Paul Loft, who completed six and seven years respectively at the end of 2024.
Simon has worked in the public sector for over 30 years, primarily in the defence and security fields. He has extensive board level experience including as a People Director, Director of Security and Director for Data. He also has deep expertise in the use, handling and protection of information and data in a wide range of operational contexts.
Claudio is an independent consultant advising on policy and advocacy in regulated industries, with a particular focus on consumer engagement and protection, inclusion and vulnerability, and on competition policy. He has worked at Cable and Wireless and spent over a decade at Ofcom, the communications services regulator. He is the independent non-executive chair of the One Touch Switching Company (TOTSCo), an independent non-executive director on the board of Open Banking Limited, and also a member of the Office of Rail and Road's consumer expert panel.
Anna Bradley, Chair of the SRA Board, said: 'I am delighted to welcome Simon and Claudio to the Board, following a highly competitive recruitment process. It is a time of significant change in the legal sector, and we must respond to shifting risks. Simon and Claudio's expertise and experience, in areas such as effective use of data and regulatory policy, will be invaluable in making sure we can continue to drive confidence and trust in legal services.
'I would also like to thank our outgoing members, Paul and Selina, for their excellent contributions.'
